WAXD Car Detailing: What to expect (Showroom)

Thank you for scheduling your Showroom Detail with WAXD. This page outlines what’s included in your service, what may require additional time or cost, and how to best prepare your vehicle so we can deliver the best possible results.

Our goal is to set clear expectations and ensure a smooth, professional experience on the day of your appointment.


What’s Included in Your Showroom Detail

Interior Service

  • Blowout of cracks and crevices
  • Full vacuum of floors, seats, and trunk
  • Wipe down, steam, and clean of all interior surfaces
  • Shampoo of cloth mats and seats as needed
  • Deep clean and conditioning of leather seats
  • Cleaning of door jambs
  • Interior glass cleaning
  • Protective treatment applied to leather and vinyl surfaces

Exterior Service

  • Safe hand wash of vehicle, wheels, and tires
  • Exterior glass cleaning
  • No-sling tire dressing
  • Light paint decontamination (minor bugs, tar, and road grime)
  • Application of a 3-month ceramic sealant to paint

This package is designed for vehicles in standard daily-use condition.


What’s Not Included in This Package

Some conditions fall outside the scope of the Showroom Detail due to the additional time, labor, or specialized processes required:

  • Pet hair removal
  • Excessive interior staining
  • Biohazard cleanup or excessive trash removal
  • Heavy exterior contamination (tree sap, cement dust, paint overspray, thick tar buildup)
  • Headliner stain removal (limited by material sensitivity)
  • Paint correction
  • Scratch removal and rock chip repair
  • Odor remediation (smoke, mildew, pet odors)

If any of these are present, your technician will review options with you before proceeding.


Standard vs. Non-Standard Vehicle Condition

Standard Condition (Included)

Examples of standard daily-use condition:

  • Light to moderate dirt and dust
  • Light crumbs or debris
  • Typical food or drink spots
  • The occasional pet hair
  • Normal brake dust on wheels
  • Light bugs or road film on paint

Vehicles in this condition are fully covered by the Showroom Detail package.


Non-Standard Condition (May Require Add-Ons)

Examples of conditions that may require additional services:

  • Pet hair embedded in carpets and seats
  • Excessive interior staining
  • Heavy sand, mud, or debris buildup
  • Hardened sap, cement dust, or paint overspray
  • Strong odors from smoke, mildew, or pets
  • Extra-large vehicles (large SUVs, vans, and trucks)


Add-On Pricing Guidelines (If Applicable)

If your vehicle falls outside standard condition, additional charges may apply:

  • Pet Hair: $50–$100+
  • Excessive Interior Staining: +$50
  • Excessive Exterior Contamination: $20–$100+
  • Extra-Large Vehicles: +$50

Your detailer will confirm any add-ons with you before beginning work.


Important Notes on Results

Our goal is to restore your vehicle to the best condition reasonably possible. While most vehicles see significant improvement, some limitations apply:

  • Permanent stains, fabric wear, and discoloration may not fully come out
  • Headliner stains are delicate and may not be fully removable due to adhesive sensitivity
  • Scratches, rock chips, and clear coat damage are not included in this service

We prioritize safe methods that protect your vehicle’s materials and finishes.


How to Prepare for Your Appointment

To help us work efficiently and deliver the best result:

  • Please remove personal items from seats, floorboards, and trunk
  • Ensure the vehicle is accessible and can be opened during the service
  • If possible, park in an area with adequate space around the vehicle
